Summer Youth Music Courses 2012
We are pleased to tell you that the Summer 2012 Youth Music Courses are taking place, organised by The Bedfordshire Music Trust. We are running four orchestral and two band courses between 21st – 26th July 2012.

Please note: If you live in Luton or Milton Keynes or outside Bedfordshire and are at school on Monday 23rd July, students are welcome to join the course as long as they can make all other days. Please contact Julia Smith at [email protected] or 07811 425872.
The cost of the Youth and 2nd Orchestra Courses will be £95 (as they are longer courses) and the other courses will cost £75. If you/your child would like to attend please contact Julia Smith for a student application form and return the completed form no later than Friday 15th June 2012 with the course payment to: Youth Music Summer Course, Bedfordshire Music Trust, The White House, Odell Road, Sharnbrook, Bedford, MK44 1JL . Cheques should be made payable to Bedfordshire Music Trust. (Please note we are unable to re-imburse your course fee if you cancel within two weeks of the start date of, or during, the course).
In cases of financial difficulty, the "Friends of Bedfordshire Youth Music" organisation may be able to support your application. The Friends are keen to help all those who might be eligible for financial support to attend the Youth Music courses. Should you require financial assistance, please make an application direct to FBYM at www.fbym.org.uk. Once your application is accepted you should then send a cheque for the full course fee to Bedfordshire Music Trust and the Friends will reimburse you for the relevant proportion directly.
Entrance to the groups is by audition, or at the discretion of the conductor in exceptional circumstances. We run auditions every September. However if your child has not attended one of these Music Courses before and wishes to take part in July we may be able to accommodate you. Please complete the application form in full indicating their instrument and grade equivalent, and we will try and find a place.
