FBYM Working Group
The FBYM Working Group met on Thursday 17th February and included Cllr Peter Hollick from Central Bedfordshire Council and Cllr David Sawyer from Bedford Borough Council.
Discussions focused on a future model as to how a music service could work that would satisfy the needs of both authorities and Bedfordshire's young musicians.
Disaggregation of the current music service is now some way down the line, however both councils are supportive of the idea in principle of retaining county wide music courses and orchestras.
It is hoped that the Head of the Music Service can attend the next meeting (scheduled within the fortnight) to share with us his vision of a future music service.
