Bedfordshire Festival of Music, Speech and Drama - 1st - 8th March 2008

The Bedfordshire Festival of Music, Speech and Drama is one of Bedford's most prestigious cultural and social attractions, showcasing local talent from all over Bedfordshire and neighbouring counties. It is nationally renowned as one of the country's leading festivals.

The Festival attracts entrants from age 5 to over 65, performing in a wide range of classes from Full Choirs to Solo Singing, Orchestras to Oboes, Electric Guitar to Indian Classical Percussion, Verse speaking for 5 year olds to Creative Performance, Shakespeare to Religious Text Reading. There really is something for everyone.

The Festival starts on Saturday 1st March and culminates with the Gala Evening on Saturday 8th March. There are performances all day, everyday in between spread over three sessions per day - morning, afternoon and evening. It is open to all members of the general public to come and enjoy for just £2 per session with concession, day and season tickets also available.

So come along and experience the buzz of live performances. Programmes are available from various outlets in the town including the Tourist Information Centre so you need not miss your favourite element of the arts.

The Festival is a Registered Charity run by a dedicated committee of volunteers and is affiliated to the British and International Federation of Festivals of which Her Majesty the Queen is Patron.
